Wilbert Keon Memorial Golf Tournament
June 13th, 2022 marked the beginning of a new tradition at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute. 144 golfers took to the greens, golfed and networked in support of cardiac care in our community. Join us on Monday, July 15, 2024 and help us celebrate the third annual Wilbert Keon Memorial Golf Tournament in support of the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
Dr. Wilbert Keon dreamed of a Heart Institute that would provide the highest standard of cardiac care to the Ottawa community and beyond. His vision and passion helped to create the world-class Institute that today, has flourished into Canada’s leading and most distinguished cardiac health centres. It is recognized for the unparalleled care it provides, and its world-renowned research that brings science from bench to bedside.
It is the country’s main influencer when it comes to preventing heart disease. Last year, the Institute had 221,031 patient visits, over 67,000 diagnostic tests, more than 2,000 procedures and open-heart surgeries. Patients arrived from as far away as Newfoundland, Labrador, and Nunavut. Thanks to community support, the Institute continues to strive for excellence in care and research, always putting patients first.
Participants tee off at the stunning Royal Ottawa Golf Club and will enjoy a day of laughter and fun. You can also look forward to the opportunity for business networking, great prizes, a can’t miss live and silent auction, delicious food and beverage offerings, and a very special golfers’ gift for all participants. The best part of all is that this entire event is in support of critical cardiac care, research and education at the University of Ottawa Heart Institute.
